Mac Dual Team

This summer, the Mac Wrestling Club rolled into the inaugural Smoky Summer Smash ready to rumble — and we didn’t disappoint!

Our squad was a powerhouse mix of wrestlers from Mac Club, MMS, MHS, and a few wrestlers from nearby clubs.

🔥 Match Highlights:

• Took down Central Kansas Young Lions (Salina) with a dominant 70-32 win!

• Rolled over Smoky Valley with a strong 66-33 victory!

• Earned the #1 seed heading into the Final Four!

  
  

But just when things were heating up… Mother Nature had other plans. Due to weather concerns, the tournament shifted gears and brought out the ultimate tiebreaker: Rock-Paper-Scissors! ✊✋✌️

In a nail-biter, Mac edged out WTC with a 35-34 win in the RPS showdown! We were all set to face Clay Center Wrestling Club in the finals, but the conditions were unsafe on the mat, therefore the rest of the night of wrestling was called off.

🏅 Final Result: 2nd Place Finish! Even without the final match, our team walked away with the 2nd place hammer, big smiles, and unforgettable memories. Wrestling under the open sky on a football field? That’s a summer story for the books!
